For the celebrations of 100 years to the city of Tel Aviv, ensemble nikel from Tel Aviv and ensemble mosaik from Berlin will share the same stage in a unique concert ranging through acoustic, electronic, electroacoustic and multimedia pieces with a special spotlight on one of the leading composers of our time, the German composer, Helmut Oehring.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for the local audience to get acquainted with his special sound world, always challenging and daring to take the listeners on an audio-visual documental journey.
The highlight of this event will be the premiere of a piece Oehring composed for both ensembles based on the musician's biographies. This will be joined by other premieres and recent pieces by a great variety of leading composers form Israel and around the world.
A project of the Goethe-Institut Israel in co-operation with Contempo Tel Aviv and Ultraschall Festival, Berlin, with the generous support of Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
