I actually enjoyed the high security when I went to Israel as it always reminded me that if anything ever happened, I could always call a soldier to assist me (which was very helpful in a few incidents).

My excuse? Money. :-( But IMHO, Israel is worth every shekel. :-)

That is an unbelievably cool idea. Very creative. I've biked the Negev and it's a must-see place. Many people don't realize how many adventure activities are available in Israel. I've posted about mountain biking the Negev which is a magical place.
